Yesterday
afternoon we hosted our granddaughter’s birthday party in our back yard. There
were about a dozen girls playing games and eating hot dogs and birthday cake.
Very sweet.
Today I plan
to prepare for Shabbat. My son and his family are in the middle of moving and staying
with us. Perhaps we’ll find time to take our grandson to the local plant
nursery and buy some things for the garden.
In other
words, despite the threats from Iran and other terrorists, we’re trying to keep
life normal, as normal as it can be after 301 days of war. Meanwhile, we have
stocked up on candles, matches, batteries, bottled water, canned food and
bought a transistor radio.
When I asked
our son in the north to come stay with us for a while he responded that if Iran
does attack no place will be safe. Will they attack? The news is full of
speculations and little facts.
No one knows
and it’s in G-d’s hands. Let’s pray He continues to protect us.
