No turkey this week!

A nasty virus precluded me from buying and preparing a turkey but, since it is an American, not Jewish festival, and Americans are notorious for moving holidays around for convenient long weekends, we can postpone our Thanksgiving. Even though, I don’t need a special day to say thank you since I begin every day with those words, it’s nice to get together with family and friends and count our blessings. So, if all’s well, next Friday night, we’ll have our turkey dinner and the night before watch Miracle on 34th Street. It might be an Xmas movie, but the theme of miracles is very much a Jewish concept. We see them every day here in Israel. For those of you celebrating Thanksgiving today have a wonderful holiday. To everyone reading this I bless you that you can always see the daily miracles in your lives.
